False alarms teach children to ignore fire.

We bought six of these alarm clocks in December. Since then two of them have failed - in both cases due to steam or humidity, and in the latter case at 1:30am when my children were fast asleep. Imagine, if you will, a distraught mother and her children standing on the sidewalk in 32 degrees in our pajamas – no shoes, no coats because we teach little ones to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE and the Nuances come later - while the kids squeal in fear from sound asleep and just being dragged from their beds. Her father waits to see if the carbon monoxide or fire alarm went off, and after discovering it's likely another false fire alarm, he begins checking the house -- while the kids scream to go back inside , it 's very cold in there . this is just the latest false alarm. And the problem with false alarms is that they get people to IGNORE YOU or turn off the fire alarm. And that's how people die in fires. These fire alarms aren't just mediocre anymore - they're actively bad because they teach my kids to ignore smoke alarms that they're a nuisance and a problem, not a life-saving device.
