Not recommended for beginners

Took 10 minutes from my 49 8n. It started immediately, but the Bendex didn't turn off after starting. Lots of noise so I pulled over and shut off the starter to find the gears were chewed up and the shaft was bent. Nothing was shot and the tape was removed at the last minute while rolling. To update. I bought a new Bendex and put it on my old starter. He worked like a champ with no problems. I suggest doing the same instead of buying this starter. You may, like me, receive a defective one.
