This model fits our little golden lab better than the next size up and has more than enough power to train it. We hired a professional trainer and he got her working well with him within 20 minutes. We haven't used it much, but from what we've used it works well and looks very well made. I strongly recommend using a professional trainer. I consider myself good with dogs; taught them in the past; but i have learned to respect the man who does it for a living. Both the collar and the professional trainer were worth their money. A little training for a great relationship with your dog for life.
