Having a pepper mill that can be operated with one hand is a great idea. Unfortunately, the Trudeau single-handle grinder won't do the job for you. I'm by no means a weak person, but I can tell you that it takes tremendous strength to squeeze the handle. Not bad if you just want a grind or two, but if you're looking to spice up meat, salad or a large meal, forget it. Your hand gets tired quickly. It also doesn't produce a lot of ground pepper for the strength you need to put into it. I discontinued it a few weeks after purchasing it. Perhaps this is my biggest regret about buying Revain. Don't buy this. find someone else
