Worked best at Pepper Mills for a while

This mill has been fine (not great) for a few months but hasn't aged. Grinding became inconsistent, and such a quantity of pepper always required a lot of work. In the end it just wasn't worth the effort. Also used a one handed pepperball chopper which took 2 or 3 times longer than this one. Anyway, I'm back on the hunt for the best one-handed sander.

Buy this if you want Carpel Tunnel

I bought this pepper grinder because I thought it would be a great idea to be able to grind pepper for meat while dispersing the spices with my other hand (so I don't have to wash my hands after blending each ingredient. God I was wrong. I've tried adjusting the grinder to different thicknesses, but on each setting the grinder barely skips the pepper. Every time , when my hand hurts and there is almost no pepper Two-handed method Don't waste your money.

Pepper Mill Overview

This one-handed mill works well, feels good in the hand and grinds well. The button to unscrew and open to refill is a bit tricky to use and can definitely be used with two hands. So if you suffer from severe arthritis I would not recommend it. It has a rubber base that feels comfortable and is designed to prevent it from being knocked from its resting place. Our old device died because it was knocked down too many times by our island. It remains to be seen how well this will survive falls.

Terrible experience, have to throw it away after 1 month

I used this pepper grinder for 1 month. After about 10 uses, the grinder was no longer producing enough pepper for the effort. I tried adjusting the grind but the best I could get was a scatter of whole peppers and a few chunky ones. Unfortunately I must now throw this item in the bin rather than attempt to sell or give it away as I will not be putting anyone else through this excruciating agony. My strong recommendation is not to buy this product.

Grip and grip fell short of the hype

The grip is actually cheap molded plastic that feels light. The handle is ok but it doesn't allow me (the average woman) to quickly grind peppers with one hand, which due to the promotional offer I thought I could do. I bought this primarily because on a recent international trip I bought some salt crystals that are twice the size of regular peppercorns. And the crystals turned out to be big for the grinder - so the grinder definitely can't grind everything you might need!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Great concept - horrible execution

Having a pepper mill that can be operated with one hand is a great idea. Unfortunately, the Trudeau single-handle grinder won't do the job for you. I'm by no means a weak person, but I can tell you that it takes tremendous strength to squeeze the handle. Not bad if you just want a grind or two, but if you're looking to spice up meat, salad or a large meal, forget it. Your hand gets tired quickly. It also doesn't produce a lot of ground pepper for the strength you need to put into it. Iโ€ฆ

Charm of the third time: stay away from this product

I was looking for a single-handle grinder for our kitchen. My wife and I had three different pepper mills and they all worked with two hands. I initially liked the design of this product so I bought one in white for coarse sea salt and one in black (no longer in production). Both worked intermittently. We tried different types of salt and found the best coarse sea salt. But even then the mill stops working. I fiddled with the rudeness setting and shook like nothing was really working. Theโ€ฆ
