I bought this oil pressure bushing to replace a faulty oil pressure sender in my Chevrolet 03 Tahoe. Due to the position of the sensor, a standard socket of the right size will not fit. The sidewalls of the socket itself are too thick and will not fit the sensor properly. This particular bushing was specifically designed for an oil pressure gauge and has thinner bushing sides to ensure proper seating. I don't know that removing the sensor would be impossible without this tool, but it would certainly be a PITA regal! With this nut, a pair of ratchet extensions, and a U-joint, you can pull out an old sensor and install a new one in under 15 minutes, even if you're doing it for the first time. All of this will set you back about $45 trying to replace the oil pressure supply unit. $38 for the Delco AC part and about $8 for this outlet. However, it is much cheaper and takes less time than going to the store.
