My grandmother is 90 years old, she lost her eyesight 3 years ago. The more fragile she became, the greater her risk of falling. We have laminate flooring which is a bit slippery for them, especially when changing from bed to walking or getting up from the couch. I placed 4 of these at the foot of her bed so her feet/shoes have something non-slip so her feet don't slip when she gets up. I also put 2 of these in front of the sofa she is sitting on so her shoes don't slip or slide when she gets up. The glow-in-the-dark ribbon is the path for us. They were very easy to put on, held up very well and even the nurse complimented our efforts to reduce the risk of falls. A very nice idea. I have a few left so I might put a few in the shower and in front of the toilet to reduce risk in any parts of the house she uses. I think it's a very good security investment.
