We have an older version of the same screwdriver and it's been a solid workhorse. After more than 10 years. It wasn't holding up as much as it used to, so we wanted a replacement. Obviously, this was a new, improved version, but it destroyed the original's practicality and usability. Attaching the screw holder to the handpiece is a useless gimmick. Hey B&D, just give the magnetic bits and the problem will be solved. The screw holder actually stands in the way of progress, especially when space is tight. Gets in the way, doesn't hold screws securely or properly. My other complaint has to do with the position of the forward/reverse selector. Why on earth did they decide that the simple up/down switch on the original should be moved right next to the trigger, so you have to keep re-selecting the direction you want because either your index finger or thumb accidentally changes direction by simply pressing the shutter button . I hate this screwdriver but will keep it as I know I only need to use it occasionally.
