Review on CURT Hitch Cargo Carrier - 60 X 20-Inch Basket With 500 Lbs Capacity, Black Steel, 2-In Folding Shank by Dany Meadows

The frame of this carrier is sturdy with easy assembly. Unfortunately, the wire mesh bottom was severely bent. I needed this for an upcoming trip and don't have time to get a replacement which is the only reason I'm not returning it. The box it came in was not damaged but the boxes inside it were so I guess the problem could have occurred in transport but when it says it can support 500 pounds, that would be a lot of weight to cause these dents. It also appears warn on parts of the frame like someone else used it and returned it damaged sending the problem on to me. As stated, I wanted to return it and almost did but I don't have time to get a replacement. I'm just hoping it doesn't fall apart while I'm driving down the Alcan. I will probably just get a board to put down for a base.
