I bought it to use with X-Box Live and I can only recommend it for X-Box or other wireless network solutions simply because you like it after setup just plug it into an ethernet port and you are connected. No drivers to download, no software to install on the connected computer. Now for the cons: 1. You set up the device on a Windows machine using the CD and enter all your network settings (according to your wireless router). Setup isn't as intuitive as it could/should be, and several times I got a "device not found" error even though it was directly connected to my computer.2. As this is a Linksys product, if you want to use WEP encryption it will generate a key based on an "alphanumeric passcode" or allow you to create a keycode manually, but my wireless router allows me to to create my own keycodes (four with 64-bit encryption, eight with 128-bit encryption) so I have to keep a keycode, which compromises security a bit. Despite all that, I still recommend it - and be sure to check compatibility with your router if it's not Linksys.
