Yes, this thing really works. Surprisingly good if you don't expect much.
I needed a cheap fish finder/fish finder for my kayak. It meets all requirements. It really works, it really brings out the fish and will hopefully be strong enough to last a while. The only comment I have is that the depth is shown in meters. Yes, I understand - the rest of the world uses the metric system. But it's not the rest of the world. This is America and we use our legs. Not meters. I can do math so I don't mind but it sucks.
