We bought our bikes while on holiday and the local dealers only had one bike rack so we didn't have a choice. As soon as we got home we realized that we should order something else. This bike rack is much simpler and the bikes (which we spent a lot of money on) are much more secure. Without hesitation! I love that you can lift the trunk so it's in front of your car when not in use. I also like the built-in locking system. And we were able to buy an add on to carry 4 bikes. I should also add that we have friends who have a similar bike rack, but the arm that pops out and goes over the front wheel area of the bike isn't the same finish and all of their bikes in that area are scratched. Ours are not. No regret!
