I bought it for my mother because she wanted copper pots. Real copper pots that are actually made of copper cost thousands of dollars. They are NOT actually copper but they are copper colored and in fact my mom had one before so I knew the metal wasn't as important to her as the color. Anyway, she loves them! She is so proud of her (colored) copper pots! She says they work great! But she warned me that my grandmother burned the bottom of one of the pots and heated it empty on the stove. So yeah, it's never a good idea. Do not heat empty pans, regardless of their color or metal - they will burn.
