After years of using solar lights, I found out last year that you can swap out the batteries for longer life! It doesn't always work because solar lights go out in the rain and bad weather, but for some it extends the lifespan. Solar batteries are really not that difficult to replace. After changing the battery, if the sunlight doesn't come on, I turn off the light. But it's worth a try. I hate being wasteful and just throwing them away. Especially the beautiful ones, my dear.
