This is a simple kit that works great on my 2016 Stingray Z51. It comes with two connectors, a zipper and very simple instructions. The blue cable shown in the photos is not included. Basically all you have to do is disconnect the wire harness from the solenoid in the gearbox and put protective caps on both ends. I'm a skinny guy so I was able to install this kit without lifting the car. However, it was very tight and I couldn't breathe well because my chest didn't have enough room to expand. Don't do this if you are claustrophobic! Before you start, I recommend watching the installation video on YouTube. The C7 Corvette's transmission is located at the rear of the car near the rear wheels and in front of the mufflers. The spark plugs you need to work with are on the driver's side of the transmission. Here's what I did: 1.) Cut the factory zip tie to release the wiring harness. 2.) Separate the silver heat protection cap from the gearbox to expose the magnetic connector in the gearbox. 3.) Pull off the magnetic connector. .4.) Plug the small connector (white and blue) into the gearbox.5.) Plug the long black connector into the wire harness.6.) Use the cable tie provided to secure the wire harness to the gearbox. Note: I chose to leave the silver heat shield cup attached to the wiring harness. That's all! This kit works great. No more annoying 1-4 shifting and I can finally drive the way I want. Layer 1-4 is still displayed on the screen, but you no longer have to switch to layer 4. Also, my check engine light didn't come on.
