It was awful putting the sleeve all the way in. I managed with great difficulty to insert the locking clip and now the truck will not start. I have to repeat the whole process again because the sleeve is slightly longer than what I took out. Unfortunately I threw away the old one, but I can't change the rings. My guess is that maybe the frame plate in the gearbox is factory connected to the bushing and tightened, so they are all different. I'm going to take the pan out and try to put the eyelet back in, but I have no idea how to put it in any more since I pushed as hard as I could from the outside. Any help is appreciated. Not sure if they are made to tight tolerances or not but mine seems to be too long as a few other buyers have mentioned.
