Replace this part while you are there

I bought one of these so I can replace it if needed while I was in my transmission to service the drive frame connector for repair code P0720 . I couldn't afford not to have it handy when I opened the trance.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Great fit! Best in Connectors

Fixes a very common leak in a Ford 6 speed transmission. You could probably just replace the old orange leaky o-rings, but I found it more convenient to swap out the entire connector (comes with the o-rings installed). I had to squeeze it a bit to get it fully seated, but that just means the o-rings are snug and shouldn't leak again. It is highly recommended to be replaced if the transmission is serviced with the oil pan removed.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Useless features

Perfect Fit 2010 Ford F150 SUPER CREW

My transmission was leaking after not driving for a week. I assume this is a known issue and they have updated the cable port seals. I was waiting for a 100,000 mile transmission oil change and I changed that too. It was perfect and it took me about 10 minutes to swap it out. There are no more leaks. My truck sat for 4 weeks last month and it never leaked. Very satisfied 5 stars.

  • Very Fast Delivery
Cons
  • Doubt

Hard to snap into place, but fits well.

I give it 3 stars because while it looks like the original it's a few microns thicker, it took me a hell of a long time to fix it because it doesn't quite fit. The reason is not the connector but the thickness of the o-ring, put a new o-ring on the old connector, same problem. I swapped it back, the solution, smeared it with lithium grease including the connector bezel but being careful not to dirty the contacts it eventually went in, yes no leaks.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Wrong fit for trailer Accessory

Answers to the question "Does this product fit the Trans 6R680” (Yes) are incorrect. The small tabs in the middle of the sleeve do not match the original black tabs on the sleeves. That way it doesn't slide all the way down and you can't secure it with the white tab. This is NOT the correct part for the 2010 Ford F150 4X4 Lariat Trans 6R680E. I know I've tried The black sleeve should slide inward once you line up very easily in the guide and the white tab slides up and locks the black sleeve in

Doesn't fit, had to reset old part

Bought for my 2010 F150. It doesn't fit exactly, I've tried several times to get it to work, but it must be longer than the original part because the electrical connection doesn't fit properly and the engine doesn't turn, as well as the gearbox and traction lights on the dashboard. I put the original part back and it immediately caught fire. Maybe you can use the gaskets from that part and put in the old ones. I'll know the third time I drop the pan I guess unless I just buy the gaskets…

A good OEM part for a well known TSB.

Fixed known TSB on my 2010 F150 6R80 transmission. The factory OEM port allows ATF to leak down the back of the transmission and into the engine exhaust causing a burnt oil smell at idle. It's definitely a good fit when you're trying to work the lock. Make sure you press down firmly on the connector when attempting to engage the lock. I probably should have done it more aggressively. ATF seals well, no liquid leaks are observed. I saved over $800 doing this repair, fixing the drive shaft…

Sleeve too long for 2010 f150 6R80.

It was awful putting the sleeve all the way in. I managed with great difficulty to insert the locking clip and now the truck will not start. I have to repeat the whole process again because the sleeve is slightly longer than what I took out. Unfortunately I threw away the old one, but I can't change the rings. My guess is that maybe the frame plate in the gearbox is factory connected to the bushing and tightened, so they are all different. I'm going to take the pan out and try to put the eyelet

Easy fix if you're lucky

I had a terrible leak in the 6R80 bulkhead bushing and decided to replace the old bushing when I should have changed the transmission oil. I was hoping for a quick and easy replacement but like many others I found it very difficult to slide the white clip back up after the new bushing was installed. The o-rings are much thicker, and even pushing down on the socket with all the pressure I could apply with one hand, I couldn't get the clip back into place. After about an hour of frustration, I…
