I found it was not possible to press the funnel to dump the flour. With my original funnel, after a few months of use, the outer frame came loose. The outer frame is pressed against the inner frame to hold the fine mesh screen in place. With the new funnel, I decided to lightly scrape off the sanding residue and then rinse the funnel under running water, shaking the funnel back and forth to remove the sanding residue. I love how Gator brews one cup at a time. I wish I had bought a funnel and glass mug instead of the stainless steel mug I only use to hold the funnel and catch the beer.
