I bought this for my kids because there isn't much to buy between Crayola (primarily printer paper) and Canson (quality for art students). I bought it for $0.14 per sheet. I'm just starting to learn watercolor so I decided to use it myself to practice my techniques and warm up before painting. I couldn't even get the whole picture. Like they repackaged heavy sketch paper. Instantly absorbs water, mutes colors and does not smudge or lighten. It's not bad paper, it's just not watercolor paper. It might actually be better for younger kids because they don't want their colors to blend, but I think there are cheaper options for that. The photo shows side by side what I started on this paper and what I drew on a Canson 140lb cold press. Same colors, brushes, techniques, etc. If I hadn't tried both, I would have concluded that I'm just hopeless at drawing.
