Review on Clover Needlecraft Amour Crochet Hook, 15 mm, Blue & White: A Perfect Tool for Comfortable Crocheting! by Kelsey Brown

Just want to start by saying the seller sent this quickly, well packaged and exactly as described so this review is not a slap to the seller just a tick. I use a set of metal hooks with an ergonomic handle (Athena) which I love. They are very similar to Clover Amour hooks. Since I needed a bigger hook and Clover hooks are very much appreciated, I bought this one. The grip is excellent, soft to the touch but durable. However, I hate that plastic hook at the top. I understand why it's not metal but plastic due to the weight of the 15mm hook. 😬 It's very smooth as it should be, but oddly wide and I really don't like the big blunt head of the hook. In contrast, my normal hooks are slightly pointed, which makes it easier to put the loops through. I also find the shank of the hook to be a bit short for my preference as it accommodates loose yarns or multiple strands. I just couldn't work with this crochet. I then bought a plastic hook from Susan Bates, my second plastic hook, which I found easier to use but had an integrated hook head that took some getting used to. So the problem isn't with the plastic head, but with the oddly wide and blunt head and length of the hook shank. which I find a bit short for a thick yarn.
