This is a nice switch, a well made button with a green light letting you know the hard drive has power. I placed 3 internal hard drives in a secure "air gap" out of the reach of hackers and viruses and have 1 extra switch left. PC tower. However, I had an old computer and the slots on the back were full. I looked around the inside of my turret and found a spot on the rear "wide side panel" that wasn't covered by the motherboard. I saw that I can probably install a switch using hardware you can buy at a hardware store. However, there was no opening or hole where I needed it. So I used my dremel with a small metal cutting wheel and created a nice little rectangular slot just big enough to screw a switch in. It works great. I have to admit that it took hours of planning, carefully cutting and connecting all the cables, but making this very fine computer the way I wanted it was worth it. If you don't have a slot for it, don't compromise on safety and leave it loose in your closet, it will likely short out and burn this board and possibly the motherboard. Before connecting, make sure you have a safe place for it.
