Review on 🍳 Combo Set: Calphalon Signature Hard-Anodized Nonstick Fry Pans - 8-Inch & 10-Inch by Jason Fanney

Not very sticky. . . But durable!

Have you seen all those TV commercials where cheese is set on fire in a pan and instantly flakes off or eggs are rolled in a pan with no added oil as if they were on skates? Well, these aren't those frying pans. If you want that kind of nonstick performance, you need to buy one of those pans, not this one. From what I've seen and read, the non-stick properties that they exhibit in these pans have a very short lifespan. But for these pans there is no such period. The non-stick coating is better than pans, for example. Aluminum pan. Although not much. Even with the addition of oil, my eggs stuck to the pan a bit from the first use. And every time since then. The last two sets of Calphalon nonstick pans were my favorites. They only worked really well for a few years, but at least for a while they **REALLY** worked really well. There never was and never will be. I suspect they will outlive these pans and maybe in five years they will be like they are now while others would be completely useless. Just a guess given the previous finishes on these pans. But I'd rather have really good nonstick for a year or two and then swap it out than five years at half price. YMMV UPDATE. OCTOBER 2019: The finish on these pans is almost new, although they have probably been used a few hundred times. Also, the non-stick properties are surprisingly and inexplicably slightly better than when you first bought it. So I upgraded it by one star.
