Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Protective Knife Guard for Chef Knives - Mercer Culinary, 8 Inch x 2 Inch by Brad Laverentz

But great knife bag. extremely unsafe to use.

Knife not easy to attach. The design is a giant shell clip, not a sheath per se. You cannot insert it from one end due to pinching. If you try, you risk the knife popping out and cutting through your arm with the force required to insert it. Loading from the top is much safer. but still dangerous as the clip is very tight and the "sheath" is very narrow so it wobbles slightly when you push to insert the knife; You can cut your arm again and try to keep it stable. I highly recommend using a folded towel to hold the sheath clip while inserting the knife at the tip. Using the tip as a hinge, lower the blade into the clamp while moving the slot down. Once used, the knife is very reliable. I also recommend using a beard towel to remove the knife. I like the stability and rigidity of the sheath clip, but I honestly don't joke about how dangerous it is to sheathe this knife. Need better technique to be safer
