The item description emphasizes that this improved model does not leak as previous models should have. The manufacturer receives full points for this feature. Doesn't leak. The problem arises with the "Grabber" as the documentation calls it. The device allows you to unscrew the old valve core, but does not "grab" it in any way. You would think that the coolant pressure would force the core out, but the coolant actually escapes from the core when you unscrew it, so it equalizes on both sides when the threads are free. I have tried many times with the same. Result. With this tool, unscrewing the old core is easy. It is impossible to get the old core out of the valve and into the detachable chamber, making this product not only useless but also a huge waste of time. I chose this item over well-known brands because it was available immediately at a lower price. Mistake.
