Having looked at this thing from many angles, it seems to me that those looking at this unit's setup requirements when installing have waived, have completely missed the point. Boot, but enough about stickiness or lack of it: 1. The item arrived at PacNW in two days, packaged well enough, with no damage.2. The only negative - mind you at first; I'll update the review when future assaches rear their ugly heads - I found the measurement markings on both sides upside down - Read: zero on one side = 11 on the other side etc.; I recommend a.) getting used to looking at just one side and noting/writing down the numbered positions you've tried and b.) adjusting in small increments and then taking a short walk as a small Adjustment has a big effect in terms of suspension travel.3. For those experiencing positional slippage because the screw won't hold - me too - try Blue Loctite or one of his facsimiles - I use Vibra-tite Thread Locker not to claim its superiority, it looks like it does really does its job. ; After applying a few drops, wait a few minutes for it to harden.4. The catch is, to date, I haven't experienced any chafing on my inner thighs; Of course, that can be reflected in my girlish figure, that is, create even more embarrassment, what about all my lonely time? I've found that the nose of the saddle needs to point down a bit from the normal position when at rest, too low a butt position requires crouching as you slide forward while riding; Finding my usual riding position at saddle height - my usual lean angle, I guess - was very helpful in terms of setup and riding comfort zone.6. Young people participating in MTB may prefer firmer ones; Whereas we, the older farts who made it there, are more apt to put such worthy fantasy streets on hold in our many attempts to stay alive in cities.7. When looking at variables: where the seat damper attaches to the seat post, where the seat attaches to the seat damper, the fore/aft distance between the seat relative to the seat rails, the seat pitch, the height of the seat post outside of the seat itself - eg Olmo Sella Italia Trans Am Max; Don't ask/tell Sella Vision Vuelta Bassano; Breezer Beltway Factory Saddle; Gel seat covers etc - the customization options are endless.8. I'm lanky, 5'11", 130lbs + release weight, and at this point the seat is clamped as far as it will safely go on its rails with the seat damper installed (bottom rail to seatpost) - as shown in the picture - about as far forward as she goes, pretty much centered on the number 7 (squashed numbers are read from the left), with her rise to her tall sidebar centered on the top of about 6.25 For me: a.) There's plenty of suspension travel and comfort, and b.) The seat's bones are implanted - that is, seemingly tragically, I was born without them - the seat is nosed down slightly out of level, while the plumb is no intermittent forward slip with but I think my backside is cute as a bug ear = Perfect in every way For now this is my story and I'm sticking with it Land promises Opportunities NOTE Reading the Book of the Swan Manipulating an Allen wrench in hard-to-reach places is almost always better for women. nine digits - You Go Girls! One brave reviewer reportedly remarked that he had the seat's shock absorber turned upside down to his satisfaction; One might wonder if his motive for doing this was so that he couldn't put the damn thing where he wanted and then tighten it down since one hex bolt interfered with the other if it was 'right side up'? A reasonable solution, which might work even if one hex screw is blocking the other, is to mark the desired position of the 1st screw, loosen it and move it to the side, then up/down the first head of the 2nd hex screw to pull before you move the second hex bolt in place see if you have room now to lock it up/down, if so then tighten the first hex bolt and second and bob is your uncle. Uncle Uncle Bob fights against transgender identity, or he just loves to wear feminine things, in which case transvestite Uncle Bob may prefer that you look back on the experience, and Bob is your aunt! You might know a thing or two, but as far as I'm concerned, this thing will hardly be pressured to be $pend worth more; Especially when a person may not be very fond of parlor games and the like. Drive safe, it's light, swan. Fake shock absorbers: a.) While browsing through a slightly different, twice the price, I came across this graphic installation video with recommended weight; Thought some people might(?) find this useful (they seem to suggest that the top and bottom rails be anchored at relatively equal points along the line. Don't know if this is the best option or not: https://www .amazon.com/Rinsten)-Spring-Bike-Shock-Black/dp/B07LCRQPDW/ref=mp_s_a_1_49?keywords=bike+seatpost+shock+shock absorber&qid=1576534863&sprefix=bike+seatpost&sr=8-49b.) One reviewer was quick to suggest before, finding the right placement makes it a lot easier when you have an exercise bike; I didn't have one before but now I have and I can see the light on cold winter nights with simple adjustments. c) After applying a threadlocker like Vibra Tite or Locktight, Blue is good to have anyway - and after a few/several hundred kilometers I haven't noticed any slippage at the attachment points I've tried. For now I'm happy with the product, although I may change it in the future; I'm not really looking for serious seatpost movement, just able to absorb normal vibration and smooth out the occasional hard hit. If you do a lot of side-to-side movement, I think, to be honest, you can pump your hips more than the best part of the ideal cycling skills would suggest. Think ahead. , swan
