I hope that changes but it's a small problem at the moment. The leash is not very flexible. Because of this, it's very easy for my hyperactive dog to mistake me for her. She is a boxer pup, around 50# so she might be a problem for me. I feel totally safe and not worried that she might break the leash as it is very strong. My mobility is limited, hence the leash. She was a little fussy when I let her roam free outside. She never wants to come in. So we bought a 50 foot line. As long as I stand where she can't run after me, all is right with the world. Also, the leash came off the collar ONCE. I checked it carefully and see no reason why it should have come loose, but it did. To be honest, this leash can get more flexible with use. It's a great length, love the soft touch (BIG PLUS). I would recommend this leash to anyone who wants to keep their dog safe while allowing them to run and play. I toss the ball to her and she chases after and sometimes even returns it because of the leash, which she has NEVER done. She is a puppy so I hope this leash will encourage her to behave better.
