Review on 🔌 Dorman 973-582 Blower Motor Resistor Kit for Toyota Models by Jason Melvin

Like others my fan just ran at high speed. I was searching for my problem which led me to this component. Luckily, Revane took Dorman's piece to fix. I trust Dorman and have used their parts before. Installation is easy but not so easy for a beginner due to the location. I highly recommend removing the glove box for easier access. Also, you trim the old one. ONE WIRE, then crimp a new one. ONE WIRE AT A TIME. The supplied crimp connectors come with heat shrink tubing as part of the connector. However, this is a very thick material and requires an actual heat gun to shrink. Fan doesn't help. As mentioned, the new wiring harness has many more wires than you need, but they fit easily under the carpet and are invisible from behind. No problem. Generally if a resistor has failed on your car like mine did, this will solve your problem. Again, I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner with a 2.7 liter engine. If you need one of these parts, buy this one. This is a quality piece.
