I rode a hiboy max 3 and some rental ninbots before. This is the only $800+ scooter I tried, so I'm not sure how it compares to similarly priced ones. It sure is the best I've used tho.Pros:Tricycle:Tricycle has advantages. You won't be forced down by dumb people walking parallelly since you can ride stably at walking speed. It's way easier to push, can even act as a trolly. You have enough paddle space to stand with feet parallel. And in theory if you run over ice by accident, one wheel slipping should no longer send you into the ground.Breaks: Phenomenal. Breaks on three wheels and ABS on front. The ABS prevents the front wheels from slipping. The only faster way to stop would be to ram a wall.Power:For such a slow scooter it sure is powerful. Go through the grass like flat ground. Now you're not supposed to run over lawns to take shortcuts but only a cop can stop you. Probably need a fat one.Confort:The rear wheels have suspension. The front one doesn't. So if you run over a bump you at most feel it once. Also its a tricycle so it doesn't shake left and right on uneven roads.Cons:Tricycle:When you turn you lean inward to counter centripetal force. Bicycles can lean with you, tricycles can't. Eventually, you can learn to lean your body while keeping the bike upright, but it still takes more effort to turn than bicycles.Weight:This thing comes with involuntary workouts. Try and make sure you can actually lift 50 lbs before buying. I almost pulled a muscle the first time I picked it up. Into trunk, onto bus or up to second floor is doable. Any higher you might want a lighter one.Range:Gotrax probably got 24 miles by sliding it on bullshit. Someone tested out to be like 12 and my experience is closer to that. And in winter maybe even less.
