Review on Enhance Efficiency with the Gates-38342K Kit: A Comprehensive Solution for Optimal Performance by Danny Poulin

I have a bearing failure in one of the pulleys on my Dodge Caravan. I couldn't determine where it came from so I ordered this kit hoping it was an idler wheel or tensioner. I also liked the idea of having a ribbed strap on both sides to prevent the ribbed strap from slipping. It took me about 45 minutes from start to finish to remove and replace the tensioner, tensioner and belt and the problem was solved. Possible downside of this upgrade. the availability of a replacement Gates style serpentine belt at local auto parts stores should I ever need to replace the belt in the future. I haven't tested it yet, but I'm hoping it's something to pick up when the need arises. If it's not available locally, you need to keep an eye on it and order a replacement before failure occurs.
