I've seen some negative reviews on this product and I think it's people who don't remove the packaging material. First there is a piece of styrofoam around the lamp cover that needs to be removed. Then, even in the kit, he missed the silicon part on the end of the bulb itself. After a couple of weeks it started to turn brown. I don't think it's a problem as water doesn't get in there, but when I cleaned it I pulled out the lamp cover and removed that piece of silicon. I also like that you can do this without an air line if you don't want to add bubbles. Great product so far if you can get over the lack of instructions!
