Review on πŸ”Œ Powerful 8-Channel Relay Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi A+/B+/2B/3B/3B+/4B and Jetson Nano: Supports High Loads up to 5A 250V AC/30V DC, SPDT-NO,NC Contact Form, 6mA per Channel by Tim Toscano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The easiest way to add 8 relays to a Pi with a 40 pin bus.

No hassle with power settings. No jumpers or connection cables. Plug in the Pi and just apply +5VDC to this board and it will power the Pi. Currently using this and a Pi ZeroW to run a SIP sprinkler control. Buy a couple of DIN rails and they slide or snap into place with ease. The examples on the mfg site don't work, but they can be forced. In Python, simply select Rpi or BDC chip numbering.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • No automation
