During my college days, I worked in a bike shop that sold bikes at bargain prices. I spent a lot of time assembling and fixing them. Often cheaper bikes had many problems: bent parts, wrong wheels, misaligned brakes etc. I had never heard of the Royal Baby brand before but after reading other reviews I decided to buy one for my eight year old son. Of course, when he arrived I gave him my usual thorough instruction. First thing I noticed was that the parts seemed to be of good quality. The welds were strong and the finish was perfect. The assembly was the same as any other bike: pedals, handlebars, saddle, accessories. All parts fit perfectly the first time. No fighting, no twisting and jerking, nothing like that. It also comes with some cheap assembly tools, so you don't have to worry about finding the right pedal wrench or metric hex. Once assembled, the mechanics began to look at. The tires were very true. They had no noticeable wobble, which was not normal for bikes in the $100-$150 range. The brakes are perfectly adjusted. They were centered on the rim and had perfect traction. Overall this is a quality bike for the price and I am happy with the purchase.
