Part of the product description reads: **Manufactured and tested by our Quality Control team in the USA; Traceability to NIST**This implies some sort of quality control in terms of accuracy, particularly in relation to claiming NIST traceability. This accuracy is also stated in the product description:**Range: -10/110°C; division: 1°C; Accuracy: ±0.5°C, ±1°C below 0°C and above 70°C; ** When tested in real life using not only a properly certified NIST-traceable thermometer, but also known and NIST-recognized physical standards - the triple point of water and the atmospheric boiling point of water - these thermometers were grossly inaccurate. At the bottom edge (triple dot), where exactly 0 degrees Celsius should be displayed, the display averaged -1.5 degrees Celsius. The boiling temperature of thermometers was 5-6 degrees higher than normal. These thermometers are sufficient for a quick random check of a possibly rough estimate. If you expect respectable accuracy, look elsewhere. You get what you pay for.
