I used this tarp on my boat this winter. Much cheaper than shrink wrap. I chose it for heavy gauge, hoping it will survive the winter, and maybe more than one. I've used lighter tarps in the past and they never lasted all season. It was a harsh east coast winter, and I didn't get the chance to make it as perfect as I had hoped. The schedule and weather prevented me from using the boat for most of the season and I feared the worst. Last weekend I found that it was still attached and covered everything it was supposed to. Not through tears, not through torn eyelets. It's quite worn in places and I wouldn't trust it for another season, but it will do well for utility work this summer and for leaf removal in the fall when I buy another one for next winter.
