I am very disappointed with this product. I've wanted one of these Chef's Choice knife sharpeners for years but have never been able to justify spending the money as I have an absolutely fine sharpening stone. Then, as a sign from above, Revane's Special of the Day was not just Chef's Choice, it was exactly the Chef's Choice I wanted. I used this deal to justify the purchase and I think it could have been one of the worst decisions ever made. There's no good way to look at this thing, it claws and scrapes knives worth a lot more than this bunch. Of course it sharpens like nothing else, but I can't use it because it damages the blades a lot. Also, when you first turn it on, this thing makes a weird noise around the buffer wheel, like it's rattling inside. I had to return it. This product must not be used and the damage it causes is unacceptable.
