I'm thrilled! I already have a USB 3.0 to RJ45 Ethernet adapter that I use with my ultrabook when playing games or downloading large files for school and it does the job, but setting up for this adapter was too confusing ( instructions were incomplete). English and drivers could not be found on the Internet). So when I ordered this I was really excited about the advertised feature it just works - no drivers, no settings, no fiddling and gosh they lived up to that promise! I hooked it up to my fully updated Windows 10 laptop and within seconds (about 5 seconds to be exact) I was surfing the web at blazing fast wired speeds. No driver required - fantastic! Then, to test its versatility, I decided to connect it to my Mac Mini server (which is up to date for macOS Sierra) to see if it works, even though the Mac Mini has a dedicated LAN and . IT FOUND IT! I dare say it worked right away (albeit a difference of about 5 seconds) compared to my laptop. And now what blew my mind: I ran a speed test on Fast.com and ran 5 speed test attempts on each of my Macs with a dedicated LAN port and a USB->Ethernet adapter plugged into my Mac. The results were clear: the adapter maintained a stable average speed of 94 Mbps, while my dedicated LAN port had a more sporadic and less stable average speed of 93 Mbps. I know it's not much, but it's still impressive for an aftermarket accessory. 10/10
