If your brake light is not working properly, try reinstalling the bulbs. This worked for me. When I first got mine the right bulb didn't work and my new Ford van was flashing the other right turn signals rapidly. After a moment I realized it was the van telling me one of the lightbulbs had burned out. Turns out there was a simple solution: 1) Remove the red lens cap (there are four tabs - center left and center right top and bottom; use a screwdriver or better yet a spatula to gently pry the cover off) ; 2) Remove and reinsert the desired bulb; You may need to rotate it 180 degrees to install properly. Mine was a little loose and had to be rotated, but then it worked fine. I've only had it a week, but so far I like it. I hope the old style bulbs last a while and don't get too hot or melt anything. (I can't fit LED bulbs on my new car, which has a canbus system, as it will trigger a bulb burnout warning; at least with the LED brake light I've tried before).
