I had my doubts but chairs slide much better on tile
We have heavy oak bar stools and handcrafted dining chairs with square legs and tiled floors. They didn't slide well on the tiles. I've tried things you can glue and hammer into chair bottoms, but they only worked for a while. I took them (brown) and put them on the bar stools at our house before the party. Chairs were being pushed everywhere, and they slid easily and quietly. So far they make a pretty solid impression. I think we will order a second set of chairs for our dining room.
