turns dirty tap water into something edible
Some people have been strict about this and other 7xxx filters, saying that water doesn't pass through them well. I think the difference in expense rate is a good compromise. Our water tastes good now. WAY cheaper than bottled water. Our Charlotte water has gotten almost as bad as FL water in the last decade. I'm on immunosuppressants to stay alive. *With the 3-step filter I get sick less often now.*My personal uncompensated point of view.
