The tensioner appears to be a good quality product but. This particular tensioner was sold and shipped to someone before me! The box was opened and there were scratches on this part. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see that this piece has been put back into circulation because someone didn't do their job! If I wasn't in the quandary of installing this and getting my truck back on the road, I would be sending it back. Paying for new parts and getting used parts is not what I signed up for! Next time! Don't get me wrong, Gates is a respected manufacturer of coolant parts, but they have no idea what parts manufacturers do!
