Original rating: not too loud. I see several people worrying about the direction of the flow. There is a fairly obvious arrow on the bottom of the pump showing which is the outlet. Barb fittings could definitely be a bit longer. They are used in our freestanding cabin to pump potable water to a faucet designed to connect to a reverse osmosis filter. We have a separate pump for non-potable water (washing dishes, flushing toilets, showers, etc.). The only problem I have right now is that if you turn on the faucet too slowly, the pump turns on and off. My use requires the on psi (low) and off psi (high) to be a bit wider, but that's a minor issue. it works a week before i wrote this review. I'm very diligent in updating reviews when something goes wrong or when I find problems. So as long as there are no changes above "first review" it works great.
