I'll admit I was skeptical because the cat8 thing since it's not a formal standard, and I'd purchased a cat6 cable prior to this from bestbuy.

today decided to swap this out for the cable running from my ONT to my fiber modem (and yes there are other variables at play like the time of day, congestion on the fiber network it's not a dedicated line, and the cable running from my modem to my pc) but overall I actually seemed to have seen an improvement in the consistency of the speeds I was seeing between the 50ft insignia cable and this one.I'd have to attribute that to the additional shielding on this cable overall, in any case it works and does what you need it to if you don't need 50ft in length I'd suggest not running longer cables for my use 50ft was perfect.
