Y62098030 Cable caps come in two cellophane packs of 50. in the box. On the Shimano website, these caps are referred to as "INNER CABLE SWITCH CAP". There are no sizes or specs listed on the Shimano website. I measured the inside diameter of the cap and it is 1.81mm (0.071 inch). They will easily fit a 1.2 mm (0.047 in) shift cable. 1.5 mm (0.059 in) brake cable in good condition but with different diameter. I tried these cable caps on my old bike that has Avid Single Digit Ultimate brakes/levers with coated cable. Wire size 1.6 mm (0.063 in.) The cap installed easily before crimping with the Park Tool CN-10. It is a pity that these products do not publish the difference between the retail size and the actual size. Shimano have specific shift cable caps, but the .008 inch clearance around the brake cable is a lot, even for a cable that struggles. These cable caps fit both cable sizes.
