Didn't need 100 but worked to buy this set. The one the local bike shop fitted to my derailleur cable came from the Shimano 105 shifter and fitted perfectly. I used a vise to press the cap onto the derailleur cable. I might sell a few 10's on eBay to cover the cost as I didn't need that many.

I've only ever used the big end caps that are made for brake cables on shifter cables because they gave them to me at the bike shop. They're a little messy when crimped because they're so much larger than a shifter cable. Once you have the right size, crimping is best.
