Great alternative to heat!

I was looking for an alternative filament for my 3D printer that could handle the south Florida heat in my car without warping and I didn't want to invest in upgrading my printer to ABS . It worked great, the phone holder I printed holds up well and doesn't warp or lose rigidity when heated like regular PLA. I would describe it like this: - Good quality prints, very hard/rigid and light weight, I wouldn't say stronger than regular PLA but seems solid. Black has a nice dry carbon look. While it seems to hold the heat very well, I think my car accessories will hold up to 150 F, which I measured in my car over the summer. had to increase the print temp on my prinrbot from 210F to 225F to avoid jams. - My printer has a 0.4mm nozzle, I had no problems. - The heat treatment process is a bit intimidating, I want them to do it. documented in more detail, but my prints are preserved! Basically "cook" the print in a 220F oven for an hour, in my case I glued my prints to a flat pyrex tray whenever possible to avoid warping, although I'm not sure if this was necessary. - I would say that it is definitely only suitable for specific applications where rigidity and high temperature resistance are required. If not, I still use regular PLA. Hope that helps!
