My old USB stick only provided 2 Mbps for download and upload. Speed. I just plugged this device in and my speed went up to 30Mbps. I only gave the device 4 stars because when plugged into one of my USB ports it is so wide that it blocks the next port making it unusable. I need access to all USB ports on my HP Mini Desktop. So I wanted to send it back for a refund and get one that has a regular sized USB port. To put it mildly, I was disappointed. I started rummaging through my huge bag of cables and wires and found a USB extender and the problem was solved. So if you need all of your USB ports and they are close together, you might lose access to one of them with this device plugged in.
