Compared to similar fenders from other brands, AMS is significantly thicker and stronger. This is a very solid product. The extra coating to protect the fork legs is why I bought these. I've found that the dark side of the fork legs collects far less dust and debris than my old fenders, which have less coverage. I didn't get this to protect my face from dirt and debris, but to protect my fork legs from rock splinters and the like. And in that respect he's incredibly good. The design also looks pretty cool and adds a bit of flair to my bikes. I particularly like the reflective versions.
