As mentioned before this pan (if used properly over medium heat) warps a bit so it doesn't sit perfectly on our stove (gas). Still, she stays in place pretty well. I've avoided Teflon cookware my entire adult life. It used to be almost impossible to tan anything, and then of course there are the "dead canary" problems that have always existed. Now retired, I made a few compromises and decided to buy one. First, it heats fairly evenly, slightly cooler between burners, but not bad. This is to be expected as it is cast aluminium. Second, it also tans well. Fry chicken, pancakes, bacon, etc. The non-stick surface is a godsend for cleaning, but it's sometimes difficult to get under an item to flip it with a plastic spatula as food slides easily across the surface. Pan. In general, I would have liked a slightly larger wand, even if that meant more effort when washing. All in all, this pan is great for the price and I have no regrets. If and only if I need to buy again, will I get the same? I would carefully compare this to its $100 competition to make a decision. I think every improvement is not worth paying double!
