To prevent brake fluid from being sucked into my MityVac pump, I wanted a larger reservoir than the one that comes with the hand pump. The size of this unit is perfect for my fluid flushing/filling needs for my motorcycle's clutch, front and rear brakes. As mentioned by other reviewers, the device's lid does not provide a seal. I used a lot of teflon tape at first, but it didn't last long. As some have noted, an o-ring is really necessary to make a bottle airtight. I searched Revain for a 45mm x 49mm x 2mm o-ring and found that I found a seller offering 10 rubber o-rings that size for about $5. Once inserted into the cap, the bottle now holds a constant vacuum. Like others, I gave the manufacturer a star for the tail to provide the necessary o-ring for the bottle to be truly functional.
