Review on ECOTRIC Truck Bed Extender: Ultimate Rack 🚚 for Pickup Trucks & SUVs with 750lbs Load Capacity by Raden Maldonado

This bed extender is great for transporting lumber to rebuild my deck. The quality of the parts is acceptable, I was a bit concerned by some of the other reviews but what I received had no problems with welds or misaligned holes, generally everything worked as you would expect. The paint could use a slightly heavier finish to better resist scratches but considering the price I think it's acceptable just have to make sure it's looked after properly. The T-bar is a bit of a loose fit, maybe 1/8", but I think it's made to accommodate the vibration of the load, but wood padding or simple pressure with straps to secure the load should work, for me there was no problems.Of course with this product or any time you are transporting oversized loads you must ensure they are properly secured and know where the center of gravity of the load is to avoid overloading the extension.In the attached pictures I have Used a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, with factory hitch receiver. With the tailgate down the platform is 7ft and 10ft +/- to the crossbar. On the first ride I wore 3 2" x 12" x 16' pressure treated (wet) boards so the load went 6ft over the prop bar I believe that is the upper limit of safety for my configuration, I wouldn't try to ship anything longer I w I would also recommend some visual aids, because with loads protruding so far over the end of the truck, it is easy to overlook turns, especially right-hand bends. You will need a 5/8 inch receiver pin if you don't already have one. All other mounting pins were included. In conclusion, this is my experience and maybe yours, please make safety your priority and research/check load limits for all components.
